Epista Appoints Senior Industry Leader as General Manager for Central Europe

Effective as of today, Epista strengthens its presence in Central Europe with the appointment of industry leader Robert Gaertner to oversee the company’s regional activities.  Robert Gaertner joins Epista from Veeva Systems, where he has spent the past eleven years, most recently as Vice President and European Practice Lead for Quality Strategy.

With more than 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, particularly in pharmaceutical quality and manufacturing, Robert brings deep expertise in processes and systems across GxP-regulated areas, along with an extensive industry network.

Throughout his career as a Subject Matter Expert and industry consultant, Robert has worked with leading global organizations, including PwC Consulting, IBM, Lodestone, and Infosys. In his most recent role at Veeva Systems, he led the company’s strategic Quality and Manufacturing initiatives across Europe, playing a central role in shaping long-term industry partnerships and solutions.

Robert Gaertner is joined by Thomas Töbe, another strong profile, who also comes from Veeva Systems after eight years with the company. Thomas brings deep industry knowledge and solid professional experience. Together, they will work to strengthen and expand Epista Life Science’s customer relationships across Central Europe, with a strong focus on Epista’s German customer base.
