Effective as of June 1st, Epista strengthens its organization with the appointment of Mia Soo Gylling as Senior Vice President of People and Culture. Mia joins Epista from KMD, where she most recently served as Lead HR Business Partner.
Mia brings more than a decade of HR experience from larger, international organizations. She began her career as an HR consultant working with performance management, employee engagement, and HR analytics, before moving into HR business partner roles, teaming up with the business on people agendas as part of senior leadership teams.
Along the way, she has supported organizations through periods of growth and globalization as well as through headwinds and restructuring.
"My experience from working with HR and culture in multiple organizations has taught me that culture is something you can't take for granted. You have to work with it on a continuous basis, both in times of growth and when things are not working the way you want them to," says Mia Soo Gylling.
"Epista is a company built on expertise and trust, and that starts with its people. I am looking forward to working closely with colleagues across the organization to make sure Epista remains a place where talented people want to build their careers," says Mia Soo Gylling.
At Epista, Mia will lead the People and Culture function across the company's operations, working closely with leadership on talent, culture, and organizational development. For her, the company's positioning was a key part of the attraction.
"I love that Epista sees itself as a people-first consultancy and that we value long-term relationships with our customers. That speaks to me both as a person and as an HR professional, and I think it makes us stand out from our competitors," says Mia Soo Gylling.
The hiring reflects a broader priority, as the company continues to grow across markets, its people agenda is moving closer to the core of the business strategy.
"As Epista grows across markets, the way we attract, develop, and retain people becomes a strategic priority in its own right. Mia brings exactly the experience and perspective we need to take our People and Culture function to the next level," says Per Johansson, CEO of Epista Life Science.
The appointment of Mia Soo Gylling as SVP of People & Culture reflects Epista's commitment to investing in its people as the foundation for delivering high-impact life science consulting.
